IA_CS042 Dragon Sarong
A Sarong is a large sheet of printed fabric which is worn wrapped around the waist and worn as a skirt by men and women in south and southeast Asia and Somalia and on many Pacific islands. Sarongs are also used as shawls, baby carriers, complete dresses, upper body clothing, bed spreads and as wall hangings. The fabric of a sarong is generally quite light. In modern usage, sarongs are often used by women as a cover up over swimsuits.
To secure the sarong in place while wearing, a pin may be used, the fabric may be tucked tightly under itself in layers, the corners may be knotted or a belt may be used.
Our Celtic knot sarong is 44" x 72" and is made of a lightweight fabric. They are machine washable and dryable. For best results, wash with cold water and dry in a cool dryer (or hang dry). They seem to be fairly colorfast.
These sarongs may also be used as scarves, hangings, cooler or chair covers or for any other purpose that requires a pretty, washable fabric. If you come up with a creative idea, please send a picture, and we will post it here to show others what can be done!
The color choices are:
Dragons - Green
Dragons - Gold
Dragons - Purple
